Steve Brewer

Stephen (Steve) Paul Brewer lost his battle to kidney cancer on February 2nd 2020 at the age of 71 years old. After a successful career in sales Steve moved to Vero Beach in 1980 where he would lay roots and join his father and brother in building and growing Brewer International into a leading manufacturer of adjuvants and surfactants for aquatic and terrestrial weed management. Steve and his brother Jim took over Brewer International in 1990 (founded by Paul Brewer in 1977). Over the duration of his leadership and tenure as President, Steve doubled the size of Brewer International and sold products through distribution partners to applicators across nearly all 50 states.

In Vero Beach, Steve was active in his community serving in a variety of ways. He was a past President of the Sunrise Rotary Club, was an active member of the Elks Lodge, and was a past chairman of the board for his church, First Covenant Church. He often traveled for charity work to the Dominican Republic helping impoverished communities build better water systems among other projects. Steve also helped his local community by organizing the annual Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest whose proceeds went directly back to the underprivileged and local charities in Vero Beach.

Known to be a long time member and key contributor to APMS, Steve embodied the industry in which he served. Steve’s love of family and friends made travel to the many APMS conferences over many years a integral part of his personal and professional life. The deep personal relationships Steve had with colleagues at APMS and his key contributions with innovative products helped shape the use and adoption of adjuvants in the Southeast, Midwest, and beyond.
